Anne Tallentire born in N.Ireland, has lived and worked in London since the early 80’s. Her practice includes sculpture, video, sound, text, performance and photography. In 2018 she was a recipient of the Paul Hamlyn Foundation Award for Artists and she is a co-selector for 39 th EVA International Platform commissions. Solo exhibitions include Plan (...), Grazer Kunstverein, Graz (2018); Shelter, Nerve Centre, Derry (2016); AS FAR AS, Hollybush Gardens (2016); This and other Things, IMMA (2010) and Drift: diagram xiii, Void, Derry (2002). In 1999 she represented Ireland at the Venice Biennale. Significant group exhibitions include Keywords: Art, Culture and Society in 1980’s Britain, Tate Liverpool; At your service, Technisches Museum, Vienna; Winter Garden, Flat time House, London. Since 1993, she has worked collaboratively with John Seth as work/seth-tallentire. She is Professor Emerita, at Central Saint Martins, where she taught until 2015, since when she has co- organised the quarterly itinerant sound based test centre ‘Hmn’ with Chris Fite-Wassilak. Tallentire is represented by Hollybush Gardens, London.
