Felispeaks
Felispeaks (Felicia Olusanya) is a Nigerian-Irish poet, performer and playwright from Co. Longford. Her work moves between poetry and music, and she explores issues of feminism, social justice and coming-of-age experiences in her work. Her poem For Our Mothers will be part of the Irish Leaving Certificate English curriculum from 2021. She has performed at Dublin Fringe Festival; National Concert Hall; Electric Picnic and Smock Alley Theatre (2018-19). Felispeaks has also participated in festivals such as Mother Tongues Festival, Dublin; Women and Children First, Ghent (both 2020), St. Patrick’s Festival (2018, 2019, 2020); Dublin Fringe Festival (2018, 2019) and Cúirt Literature Festival, Galway (2019). Felispeaks’ contribution to TULCA 2020 is a collaboration with Vukašin Nedeljković on a public billboard project that calls for an end to the Direct Provision system in Ireland.
